David Pong

Head of Intraday and Collateral Management, CUSO Treasury - SMBC

David Pong is the Head of Intraday & Collateral Management within Corporate Treasury - Liquidity Management for Combined US Operations (CUSO). Since joining SMBC in June 2023, David has established new frameworks, including CUSO Intraday Framework, CUSO Intraday ILST, CUSO Collateral Management Framework, and CUSO Asset Class Eligibility, Control & Monetization Framework for the Firm. David leads key Treasury initiatives, including the technology buildout of CUSO’s real-time intraday and collateral monitoring, the strategic growth and optimization of CUSO’s HQLA and non-HQLA collateral, and the operational improvements to PCS activities for CUSO Legal Entities.

David started his career in accounting at Ernst & Young, working in the Strategic Growth Market sector, where he worked on two successful IPOs. Prior to joining SMBC, David had worked in various roles within Treasury at both JPMorgan Chase and Credit Suisse.

David has a M.S. and a B.S degree in Accounting from Binghamton University and a minor in Economics.
