Alex Hammam Howe is the Head of Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) for SMBC’s Americas division, where he is currently leading efforts to expand the TPRM framework into a global programme across the Bank. With over 15 years’ experience in Third Party Risk Management, Alex has spent five years as a management consultant collaborating with Tier 1 banks to design, build, and implement robust TPRM programmes. He has also dedicated a decade to building, enhancing and managing TPRM functions at Commerzbank, BNY Mellon, and SMBC. Alex has successfully remediated TPRM programmes for ten banks subject to Matters Requiring Immediate Attention (MRIA), consistently delivering robust frameworks and best practice implementation.
