Biography

Alessia Falsarone is a practitioner faculty at the University of Chicago leading the Circular Economy and Sustainable Business Management program. She previously spent fifteen years as senior managing director, head of sustainable investing, portfolio strategy and risk management for a global asset manager based in New York, and also held executive leadership roles with AIG and Citigroup. Alessia currently serves as independent director in public and private company boards in Europe and the UK. In addition, she is a member of the investment committee of the UK government’s innovation directorate (iUKL Ltd) and is part of high-level advisory bodies promoting climate finance. An award-winning author, she is a graduate of Stanford University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Bocconi University (Milan).
